Aims: To provide an introduction to the interpretation of the scientific text and to develop a critical awareness of the different kinds of research in history of science.
Contents: Fundamental texts on the principle of the conservation of energy (Mayer, Joule, Colding, Helmholtz, Thomson, and Rankine).
Secondary literature on the subject.
